German Shepherds
The Zwinger von Ozarkwald has moved from Fayetteville, Arkansas to Springfield, Tennessee. We have not produced a litter since 2005 and do not know when we will again. However, if you seek a high-quality puppy please contact the breeders listed at the bottom of this page and on the pages of some of our dogs.
Our breeding stock is AKC-registered and certified free of hip dysplasia. Each sire and dam possess a body structure, pigment, and dentition that adheres 100% to the breed standard maintained by the Fédération Cynologique Internationale (F.C.I.).
Our puppies receive a tattoos at the age of seven (7) weeks followed by the temperament test before the age of eight (8) weeks in order to determine their individual character and suitability for different relationships with humans. All puppies are sold with a health guarantee and are 100% registerable with the AKC and the Verein für Deutsches Schäferhunde (S.V.) e.V.

Whether the dog is from the noble and robust German Show Line, the sleek American Show Line, or the rugged, no-nonsense Old World Working Line; there is no other breed of dog that possesses the versatility of the German Shepherd Dog. We are pleased to own dogs that represent each of these major differences in the breed lines, and normally practice outcross, rather than line breeding in order to produce an animal that gleans the best qualities from each line. Some wonderful dogs are no longer in this life with us but remain forever in our hearts. To preserve their memory, we include them as we find old photographs collected over the years. These dogs can be found on our Memorial page.
